The latest: Taylor Swift, 33, won in the category for Best Pop for Anti-Hero at the MTV Video Music Awards Tuesday at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey

The singer told the crowd as she accepted the award, 'I love making pop music, I love making pop music videos, I also love making country'

As an artist, I enjoy exploring different music genres and this is all possible because of my fans who give me the opportunity to do so. It’s a great adventure for me to challenge myself to create music that is unique from my previous works. However, I must say that making pop music is my favorite, and I am grateful to my fans for allowing me to do what I love. I won my second award for Song of the Year for Anti-Hero and I feel very fortunate to have Jack Antonoff, one of my best friends, as a songwriting partner. We have been making music together since 1989 and we will continue to do so until 2089! When I started writing songs at the age of 12, it was because of specific emotions like insecurity or self-loathing that I felt isolated in. But when I perform these songs live and hear the stadium singing back to me, it gives me a sense of relaxation that maybe we all share similar issues. I am so grateful to my fans for this award and their support, thank you so much!
