Gal Gadot is expected to have a busy itinerary as she promotes her upcoming film Wonder Woman 1984. The movie is set to be released on the big screen and HBO Max this Christmas season.

New foes: The film picks up in the mid-1980s, with Wonder Woman squaring off with Maxwell Lord (The Mandalorian's Pedro Pascal) and the supervillain Cheetah (Kristen Wiig)

Wonder Woman is set to return in the mid-1980s and will face two new villains: Pedro Pascal playing Maxwell Lord, and Kristen Wiig playing Cheetah. Despite the ongoing pandemic, Gal Gadot, who portrays Wonder Woman, is expected to make several media appearances to promote the upcoming movie. While the storyline has not been revealed, it has been confirmed that Chris Pine’s character, Steve Trevor, will return, raising questions given his apparent death at the end of the first film.

The boss: Patty Jenkins, who directed the first Wonder Woman film to more than $800 million in grosses, will be back at the helm for the newest installment; seen together in May 2017

The highly successful director of the hit movie Wonder Woman, Patty Jenkins, has been confirmed to direct the sequel. The first movie earned more than $800 million and Jenkins was spotted with the cast in May 2017.

Working relationship: She'll also be working with Gal again on a future project, a biopic about the Egyptian queen Cleopatra; Elizabeth Taylor seen in Cleopatra (1963)

Patty Jenkins, the renowned director of Wonder Woman, is poised to direct the sequel. The first film was hugely successful, grossing over $800 million worldwide. But that’s not all for Jenkins; she will also be teaming up once again with Gal Gadot on a new project, a biopic about one of history’s most legendary figures, Cleopatra. The ancient Egyptian queen was famously portrayed by Elizabeth Taylor in the 1963 film, directed by Joseph L. Mankiewicz. Although it was initially met with harsh criticism and almost caused 20th Century Fox’s bankruptcy because of its high budget, the movie has gained a more positive reputation in recent years.

Mystery: Gal has already completed filming on a more recent period piece, the Agatha Christie murder-mystery Death On The Nile, which also stars Armie Hammer and Kenneth Branagh

Gal Gadot has finished filming for Death On The Nile, a murder-mystery movie based on the works of Agatha Christie. The film stars Armie Hammer, Annette Benning, Russell Brand, and Rose Leslie. Kenneth Branagh not only directed the movie, but will also play the lead role of detective Hercule Poirot. Unfortunately, the release date for the movie has been delayed due to the pandemic, with an expected release date in either 2021 or 2022.
